Q
- What do I need to bring with me to La Maison D'Hibou?
|
|
A
- Unfortunatley we are not able to provide a linen service, therefore
you will need to bring your own sheets (3 x double + 4 x single),
pillow cases (12+), 4 x single duvet covers (or sleeping bags)
and 3 double duvet covers plus towels and tea towels. There are
also loads of blankets should you need them.

Q
- When do I need to pay the balance of the holiday?
|
| A
- We ask that the balance outstanding be paid no later than 8 weeks
before the first day of hire. If the period between booking and
first day of the holiday is less than 8 weeks the full balance &
security deposit will be required. |
| Q
At the start/end of the season will the swimming pool be operational? |
| A
- The pool is not heated and I'm afraid that we cannot guarentee
the availability of the pool at either the start of the end of the
season due to the weather. |
| Q
I'm going early/late in the season will it still be warm? |
| A
- Although Charente is a sunny region of France, in early and late
season after a sunny day the evenings may feel a little cool. You
are advised to bring some warmer clothing for the evenings. |
| Q
- How will I know where it is and how to get there? |
|
A
- Two weeks before your first day we will send you comprehensive
directions on how to get to LMD and a set of keys, you must return
the keys directly after your return in order for us to release
your security deposit
|
| Q
- What are the restaurants like? |
| A
- There are many places in which you can eat out locally, though
most are closed on Sunday evenings. Dressing up is OK for some of
the larger restaurants but for most of the local ones you will feel
more comfortable in casual gear. |
| Q
- Will I be asked to pay a security deposit? |
| A
- Yes. When the balance payment is due you will also be asked to
pay a security deposit of £100 per week. This is refundable
assuming no damage occurs. |
| Q
- Does the house have a television? |
| A
- Dial the clock back 30 years. I'm afraid that LMD is a TV free
zone by design. But there are loads of books, games and CD's &
music cassettes for you to use during your stay. |
| Q
- What time must I vacate the property on my last day? |
|
A
- We ask that guests leave the property by 11am
ensuring that the villa is left in a clean and tidy condition
and that all rubbish has been disposed of, or recycled, accordingly.
|
| Q
- The weeks I'd like are already booked, how do I reserve the following
year? |
|
A
- Simply send us a message with your name, address, phone and
email and we'll be sure to offer those weeks to you before anyone
else and before we advertise in the press. You need not pay any
advanced fee for reservations in the following year.
